Profile

I’ve been a freelance editor since 2007 and have worked on a diverse range of projects including fiction novels, memoirs, self-help books, magazine articles, and more. Through all of this, my goal has been to help authors get their message out while maintaining their unique voice. I’m happy to work with writers at all levels, but I have a particular passion for helping first-time authors, especially those looking to self-publish. Most of my experience is in memoirs, self-help, health/wellness, and children’s picture books, though I’m always willing to discuss your project to see if I’d be a good fit.

I have completed the Editing Certificate program at Simon Fraser University and continue to expand my knowledge through courses and webinars. Currently, I am the coordinator for the Editors Kingston twig and host meetings with speakers on variety of editing-related topics.

My services include:

  • Manuscript evaluation
  • Developmental editing
  • Stylistic and copyediting

If you’re looking for an editor to help bring your project to life, please reach out! I offer free 20-minute consultations as well as free sample edits so you can be confident you’re hiring the right person for your project.
