Based in London, Ontario, Laura Bontje specializes in editing children's books and has volunteered as managing editor for The Editors' Weekly and grant writer for the Canadian dictionary committee.

A member of Editors Calgary, Jaime Miller has served as exam shepherd and co-chair certification steering committee. She also helped to paunch Editors Canada webinars as a member of the training and development committee.

Badou Bousso is co-chair of francophone relations for Editors Ottawa–Gatineau. He is a freelance editor, translator, instructor and content management coordinator for a not-for-profit healthcare organization.

Julie Kay-Wallace

Julie Kay-Wallace is a member of Editors Toronto and is the leader of the national website task force. She is a fiction editor and full-stack web developer, and lives in Stratford, Ontario.

Gael Spivak

Gael Spivak works for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. She is a member of Editors Ottawa–Gatineau and a former president of Editors Canada.

Nicola Aquino

Nicola Aquino, a member of Editors Nova Scotia, runs her own freelance business, Spit & Polish Editing. She also co-moderates Editors Canada’s monthly online meeting, the Editors’ Vine.

Marie-Hélène Cadieux

Marie-Hélène Cadieux managed networking activities in Montreal for Editors Québec. She runs her own translation, editing and proofreading business from her home base in the Laurentians.

Virginia St-Denis

Virginia St-Denis is the director of communications for the national executive council, the in-house editors' networking organizer for Editors Ottawa–Gatineau, and an avid amateur photographer.

Glenna Jenkins

Based in Nova Scotia, Glenna Jenkins specializes in academic editing for non-native English speakers and assists on the finding work for members task force.

Jess Shulman

Jess Shulman, CPE, is co-chair of the certification steering committee and a freelance editor providing writing and editing services for businesses, publishers and independent authors.

Lisa Frenette

A member of Editors Toronto, Lisa Frenette began volunteering on the communications and marketing committee, later joining the 40th anniversary task force.

Dania Sheldon

Dania Sheldon has volunteered with Editors Canada since 2005. She has had roles in Editors British Columbia and on the national executive council, co-developed the professional certification exams and served as a judge for the 2019 Tom Fairley Award for Editorial Excellence.

Aaron Dalton

Aaron Dalton volunteers on the member services committee. He updates in-house-specific material on the Editors Canada website and helps publish the online version of Active Voice.

Blazej Szpakowicz

Blazej Szpakowicz serves on the training and development committee assisting with the webinar program. He has been responsible for running about half of Editors Canada's webinars since 2017.

Robin Larin

Robin Larin is co-chair of the 2019–20 student relations committee. She helped create an in-class presentation for courses on editing and related subjects, and worked with the committee to reinvigorate the student affiliate Facebook page.

Leslie Saffrey

From 2016 to 2019, Leslie Saffrey served on the certification steering committee. Among her accomplishments is helping to produce two new test preparation guides: Stylistic Editing (2017) and Proofreading (2018).

Tania Cheffins

Tania Cheffins (Editors British Columbia) led the 2018–19 updates on Guidelines for the Ethical Editing of Student Texts and Definitions of Editorial Skills. She served on the certification steering committee for several years and has been the professional standards director since 2017.

Sheila Eskenazi

Sheila Eskenazi has been a member of Editors Quebec since joining Editors Canada in 2008. She is the national volunteer of the month for January 2019.

Kristine Buchholtz

Kristine Buchholtz (Editors Edmonton) has served on the certification steering committee since 2015 and helped bring the Eight-Step Editing workshop to Edmonton in 2016.
