The Editors’ Weekly is looking for additional editors
After two years of fantastic work as the managing editor of The Editors’ Weekly, Laura Bontje will be stepping down to pursue new and exciting opportunities.
This time of transition offers a chance to evaluate how the blog can continue to serve Editors Canada’s members.
The Editors’ Weekly brings together contributors representing a wide range of editing experiences to discuss their niches, expertise and valuable opinions on all matters editing. It is a place for communal learning and sharing of ideas.
In the spirit of community, we would like to bring on two or three additional editors to join the managing editor and form an editorial board that represents the diversity of our members. The editorial board will set the direction of the blog’s calendar, solicit posts, liaise with authors, edit drafts, assist the proofreader and maintain the excellent quality of The Editors’ Weekly.
This is a great opportunity for members and student affiliates looking to build your portfolio, broaden your horizons in the editing world and help raise the profile of editing concerns as we seek to extend our reach as trusted experts in our fields.
If you are interested in joining the board, contact our current managing editor, Laura Bontje.
