Profile
I’m a copy and line editor focusing in cookbook/recipe
and general non-fiction for publishers, indie authors, businesses and
organizations. I specialize in writing that is inclusive and intersectional,
and I’m a big believer in the old standby that you never stop learning. My
hope is to give back to the neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, environmental
activism, and literary communities as a stylistic and copy editor.
Education:
I hold a BA from St. Thomas University, a
Visual Arts Certificate in Studio from NSCAD University, and a Certificate
in Publishing from Ryerson University. I earned a professional development
award for completing Ryerson’s Chang School course series in children’s
publishing.
Testimonials:
“Meaghan
line and copy edited my dessert cookbook. She was fun to work with and very
knowledgeable about recipe editing. I’d highly recommend working with
Meaghan!”

“Meaghan
is a joy to partner with. I recommend her on any writing project. She supported
me in completing my personal collection of letters for my book. She goes above
and beyond providing me with an updated style sheet and Author Letter that were
enlightening for myself in my awareness as a writer. Meaghan truly cares about
the mechanics of writing as well as making the writing enjoyable to read. I
would love to work with her again in the future.”

Vermet, author
“I
worked with Meaghan on copyediting for my latest nonfiction book. The process
went smoothly, with clearly defined timeline and outcome. Meaghan communicated
clearly throughout the process, and provided a good, consistent, high-quality
revised manuscript. She caught a lot of little errors and mistakes that I
missed as an author, even after a couple of reading passes. I enjoyed working
with Meaghan, and hope to do so in the future.”
