Editor Profile

Adrienne Bartl

Profile

My name is Adrienne Bartl and I am a freelance editor who loves to work on what I call kitchen table books – the kind of writing and subjects that makes readers want to talk, be it about food, self-improvement, pop culture or even semi-autobiographical fiction.

I’ve worked with previously published authors and new authors on their way to self-publish, as well as individuals and groups writing promotional and informative content. With my knowledge of French and Spanish I’ve also been able to ensure their message came through clearly and correctly on translated work. While I specialize in recipes, cookbooks and food writing, I am happy to work on nonfiction of all kinds, editing objectively so you can be proud to publish.

I have a Publishing certificate from Toronto Metropolitan University and a B.I.B. degree with a minor in Spanish from Carleton University. I work with Word documents and Google Docs for structural editing and copyediting, and Adobe PDFs for proofreading, providing my changes and comments throughout for transparency.
