I started my working life as a pharmacist, but I have always had a passion for language. I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to new editing opportunities. I have always been the go-to for friends, family, and colleagues who needed a proofreader. Having recently retired from healthcare, I have decided to turn that passion into a second career. I am working towards the Professional Editing Standards Certificate at Queen’s University, with top marks in the courses completed so far. I have some experience with copyediting correspondence, trade booklets, and journal articles, specifically medical journal articles. My interests are broad, and I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to copyedit manuscripts of all types, with a preference for science fiction and fantasy genres.
