Profile
Amanda Matwie (she/her) is an Editors Canada member with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications (Professional Writing) and a Diploma of Professional Writing from MacEwan University. She also has a Professional Editing Standards Certificate from Queens University. She is a believer in lifelong learning and a lover of words and research.
Amanda specializes in comprehensive line edits and quick, thorough proofreads. She also provides manuscript evaluations, copy edits, and limited-scope authenticity/sensitivity reading. While her preferred genre is Romance, she edits across most genres and intended audience ages.
As a queer and neurodivergent individual herself, Amanda especially enjoys working with queer, ND, and BIPOC individuals to sharpen and amplify their voices and get their stories out into the world. She has worked with authors of various experience levels, across a broad range of genres.
