With an instinctive grasp of the whole and a conscientious application to detail, I can quickly assess your text and hone it into a product that clearly communicates your intentions to a target audience.

I have more than 20 years of experience meeting the needs of a diverse range of clients, including government and international organizations. I have also worked one-on-one with writers on a wide variety of books and articles. Many of these works have gone on to be published by prestigious presses such as Palgrave Macmillan and Cambridge. My clients are repeat and long-term customers who refer me enthusiastically to others.

While I aim for clear and effective style, this is always tempered by respect for the author’s voice.  I enjoy working with complex ideas and strong voices and am particularly interested in book projects — academic or mainstream, fact or fiction. I’d love to add more novels (adult or young adult, self-publishing or traditional) to my list.

I have been a member of Editors Canada (EC) since 2002. 

PhD (Drama), MA (English), Copy editing (Ryerson), Proofreading (EAC), Syntax of Style (EAC); Editing Fiction (EAC). Additional skills are dramaturgy, writing, transcription, and research. Other subject areas include Israel, the Middle East, theatre, cultural studies, science fiction and fantasy, media studies, and visual culture.
