Editor Profile

Karson Fritzler

Profile

My editorial work includes serving as editor for the UBC Law Review during my juris doctor; transcribing interviews, copyediting, and data analysis as an editorial assistant with The Critical Thinking Consortium; and some higher education textbook typesetting/markup. I also freelance as a substantive editor for fiction, non-fiction, and poetry manuscripts. My education includes a fine arts degree in Creative Writing from UBC, a juris doctor from UBC, and a publishing certificate from TMU, where I was awarded the Pearson Canada Award. My approach to substantive editing is to ensure that the reader can absorb the “heart” of the material; my education affords me a fine-tuned attention to detail in copy and stylistic editing.
