Meet the Editor:

I’m a graduate of Brescia University College, and after completing my degree in English Language and Literature, I went on to earn an Editing Certificate through Simon Fraser University. As a self-proclaimed bookworm, I never leave the house without a novel . . . or three.

During my years as a Canadian freelance editor, I’ve worked on manuscripts in the following genres: 

·         Fantasy

·         Romance

·         Self-help

·         General fiction

·         Women’s fiction

·         Action/adventure

·         Science fiction

·         True crime

Although I am open to working with any fiction author, my main genres are romance and fantasy. I particularly appreciate manuscripts with diverse characters—specifically LGBTQ+ characters—and unique plots.

Each manuscript I receive is precious, and I do my utmost to honor and strengthen each author’s voice. I work with debut authors, established self-published authors, and authors who’re entering the query trenches.

What to Expect:

During the editing process, I offer suggestions from a positive perspective and focus on teaching and growth. Everyone has a story to tell, and I love being able to participate in the creation process.

I make in-text alterations and comments using Microsoft Word’s “Track Changes” feature. Most of my comments will be explanations about corrections I’ve made, questions I have, or more complex suggestions, and if I love a passage, I won’t hesitate to let you know!

While editing, I use the Chicago Manual of Style, and I’m comfortable with American, Australian, and Canadian spelling, as I’ve worked with clients from each country.

Furthermore, I recognize that choosing an editor is difficult, so I provide free sample edits to determine whether we’d be a good match. Currently, I offer the following services:
