After editing Nurturing Ethics in Governance: Taming Our Rascals Within, for Peer Diagnostiks (2019), Nancy wrote the Editor’s Foreword and at the book launch, performed two poems for the author and read from the foreword — quite a celebration of an important and timely book.
Nancy is the author of 6 books of poetry, 1 a collaboration by Five Magpie Press and 5 published by Ekstasis Editions, the most recent being Crisp-Maned Bay; 1 novel, Nerve Line; 3 children’s books, including Adventurous Albertans: The Women and Men Who Built this Province, a Grade 4 social studies textbook, published by Plains Publishing Inc.; and Peter’s Birthday, a children’s grade 1 textbook, published by Reidmore Books. She is the co-author of Peter’s Moccasins (1987), a children’s grade 1 textbook co-authored with Jan Truss, published by Reidmore Books. Nancy’s feature-length screenplay, The Chieftain, made it to the final round of the Chesterfield Writer’s Film Project, sponsored by Paramount Pictures. Nancy continues to practise scriptwriting and poetry as well as trying her hand at young adult fiction. Let’s talk about the impact working with an editor can have on your writing endeavours!
