I’m a non-fiction and fiction editor with over 7 years of experience. I offer manuscript evaluation, developmental editing, stylistic editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Non-Fiction Editing: I enjoy working on projects related to disability and accessibility; plain language and inclusive language; policy review, not-for-profit and non-profit work; inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA); political science, international relations, Latin American history; and leadership and finance.
Fiction Editing: I work on short stories and novels. I focus on genre fiction (science fiction, horror, thriller, mystery, speculative, and romance/queer/2SLGBTQIA+/LGBTQ romance) and literary fiction.
Editing Background
I graduated from the Editing Certificate and Plain Language Certificate programs at Simon Fraser University and have an educational background in English Literature and Political Science. I have also taken extensive professional development courses and certificates through Editors Canada, Editors Toronto, as well as other professional organizations. I am currently a Master’s of Spanish Translation student.
I am a long-time member of and volunteer for Editors Canada and Editors Toronto.
In 2024-2025, I served as the co-editor-in-chief of BoldFace blog, the official blog of Editors Toronto.
I previously served on the Marketing and Communications Committee, the Student Relations Committee, and the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Task Force.
I received the Editors Canada President’s Award for Volunteer Service in 2022 and 2021.
