Nathan LaRoi

Unusual among editors in having degrees in both the sciences and the arts (U of A), plus a double-life as a fiction writer, I have worked since 2008 mostly as a full-time editor for an Alberta university. Beginning as a freelance journalist and editor-in-chief of an arts magazine, I  evolved into editing academic materials and online courses while writing fiction evenings and weekends. APA editing (e.g., Nursing, Education, Psychology) is one of my specialties. Some of my best work is with ESL writers from culturally diverse backgrounds. “You have done a wonderful job at casting my words in a clear focused way” – University of Alberta professor. I love what editing does to me, getting me into a concentrated, meditative state of zen-like total absorption.
