Patti Ryan

I have 25+ years of editing experience and have completed editing or writing projects for more than 100 government, business and nonprofit clients over the past two decades. I worked as a newspaper and freelance journalist before launching my own editing and writing business in 2000. Because of my background in journalism, I bring interviewing, research and writing skills to my editorial work. I have honed my editorial skills over the years by working with exacting clients such as the Office of the Auditor General and Canada’s Drug Agency, and I currently co-edit The Circle, a 35-page quarterly magazine about Arctic issues published by WWF. I’m familiar with a range of industry and in-house style guides and have created custom style guides for clients. I have a BA (Hons.) in English from McGill University and a master’s in journalism from Carleton University.
