Sally Macdonald

I am a professional writer, copy editor, and proofreader with 20 years’ experience. My background spans corporate communications, media, and published fiction and non-fiction.

In corporate communications, I help organizations deliver a clear, concise message to their audience. I specialize in guiding clients to figure out what their audience needs to know. Then, we shape text to fit that need in language the audience can understand. I’ve written and edited annual reports, newsletters, social media content, fact sheets, and strategic plans. My clients include professional consultants, NGOs, local government and Crown corporations.

As a copy editor and proofreader, I work alongside writers to finesse their work and polish each line, treating their hard work with care and compassion. I’ve honed editing skills under pressure with tight deadlines, and I work methodically to deliver clean, accurate work when it’s needed.

I have an undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. I have lived and worked in Canada for 15 years.
