Profile
Writing is my oxygen; editing and teaching, my work for over 25 years.
I’ve edited numerous manuscripts of fiction, poetry and non-fiction, as well as academic journals, publications and dissertations.
Let’s talk, so I can learn about your needs. As a published author of fiction, academic work and poetry, I know what it means to bring your work to light. My favourite part of this journey is working with clients, discovering their vision. Yes, AI is clearly here, but the most valued real human editor/writer relationship hasn’t gone anywhere.
My work includes structural, copy and line editing, proofreading and revision of various documents, including journal articles, websites, training manuals and manuscripts of memoir, fiction and poetry, some translated from French, German or Spanish . Clients have praised my meticulous editing and revising, saying that it has been a joy to work together and that I have understood their vision.
I hold an MA in Comparative Literature, from McGill University, an MATL (Master of Applied Teaching and Learning), also from McGill, a TESL certificate from Concordia University and a BA is in English and American Literature, from Brandeis University, in Boston, MA.
I hold a professional background in education for all leves and ages is in the following subjects: English Language and Literature, ESL, Social Studies, Math and Science. My publications are varied: news articles, TV scripts, newsletters, publicity and communications, book reviews, fiction, literary non-fiction and poetry.
Shattered Fossils, my short story collection, is published by Guernica Editions, and I have numerous publications in literary journals. Over the course of several years, I’ve been a guest reader at various Montreal venues and a member of judging panels evaluating short stories, essays and poetry
