Profile

I have almost 20 years of experience in the field of publishing. As an editor and  writer, I provide editorial services for trade publishers, educational publishers, and writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.      

My services for authors include structural editing, stylistic editing, manuscript evaluation, and book coaching. For publishers, I offer developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading. 

Publishers and companies I have worked with include Gordon Hill Press, Nelson Education, Pearson, Pajama Press, Rubicon Publishing, Crabtree Publishing, Capstone Press, Huckleberry Sweetpie Publishing, Clarity Content, Red Line Editorial, Beech Street Books, Carus Publishing Company, and Benjamin Franklin Literary & Medical Society. 

I earned a Master of Arts in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of Gloucestershire and an Honours BA in Philosophy and English at York University. I have also completed editing courses at Simon Fraser University and Toronto Metropolitan University. Over the years, I have taken many creative writing courses, including the Creative Writing Graduate Certificate at Humber College.

My chapbook A Dress Made from Light was published in 2022 by Vocamus Press. My writing has also appeared in newspapers, literary magazines, and anthologies. My work for educational publishers includes writing 23 books for young readers and editing numerous books and materials for both students and teachers.
