The Chicago Manual of Style is the gold standard for fiction and nonfiction books, but if you prefer another style, I’m happy to accommodate you. I can also work in plain or inclusive language. Plain language involves using as few words as possible to convey your ideas; it’s clean and smooth. Inclusive language involves looking at any terms that might be outdated or inappropriate in 2026. After all, language changes over time, and writers want to keep up to date.

Many of my clients return with their second—or third or fourth—manuscript. Others come to me through referrals from authors I worked with previously. I consider that to be the highest compliment an editor can receive.
