Editor Profile

Taryn Sirove

Profile

I am a white settler (she/her) with a PhD from Queen’s University in Art History.
As an editor, I specialize in developmental and copy editing of academic texts, mainly in arts and culture. My clients include senior academics, master’s and doctoral students, arts organizations, and independent publishers. My most valued feedback has been clients reporting that, through the editing process, they have gained enhanced clarity around their own ideas.

I am a published author and can offer help at every stage of the publishing process, from research and writing to developing proposals and grants, responding to peer review, formatting citations, obtaining copyright permissions, and dealing with proofs.

Among my favourite editing projects are theses and dissertations. I know how it feels to reach the culmination of years of research and commitment, and I find it rewarding to support graduate students in finalizing this work, within
the guidelines for ethical editing of graduate student texts set out by Editors Canada.
