Editors Canada announces resignation of executive director Natasha Bood

Dear members and student affiliates,

I am writing to let you know that Natasha Bood has resigned as executive director of Editors Canada effective August 29, 2025. She has this message of thanks to share with members:

“Thank you, Editors Canada members, staff and volunteers for all the wonderful memories during my five years as executive director of the association. Throughout my time here, I’ve truly valued the many connections I’ve made with members, both online and at our annual conferences. It has been a privilege to serve and support this vibrant community. I am grateful for the experiences and friendships I’ve gained, and I look forward to seeing the association continue to grow and thrive.”

We are sad to see Natasha go, but we are grateful to her for serving as executive director since 2020. She has done an outstanding job providing leadership, especially during the pandemic, and has made some very positive and lasting changes, including sorting out the association’s finances and sourcing a bookkeeping firm that specializes in non-profits. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

The national executive council is currently planning for and will soon begin the search for a new executive director.
