Editors Atlantic member Ruth E. Thaler-Carter, freelance writer and editor, has won six awards for her writing from Missouri Professional Communicators, the regional affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. Ruth was awarded first place for her An American Editor (AAE) blog post “Just the facts, ma’am!” and for “Celebrating Creativity Among Colleagues,” a feature story blog post for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)-St. Louis. She received second place for “What a Difference a Cat Makes,” a feature story blog post for the Cat Writers’ Association and for two AAE columns: “The business of a business plan” and “Generalist vs. specialist.” Ruth was awarded third place for “Connection is the Essence of Membership Value and Networking Success,” an article for the IABC-STL blog.
