Membership and student affiliate fee increase effective March 1, 2024

Editors Canada is announcing a 2% increase to the membership and student affiliate fees that will go into effect on March 1, 2024. After holding membership fees steady in 2023, this modest increase will help the association to keep pace with inflation, cover its costs, and continue to offer all of our current services and programs to our members and affiliates.

  • The fee for membership will increase from $304 to $310.
  • The fee for emeritus membership will increase from $152 to $155.
  • The fee for a two-year membership will increase from $577.50 to $589.
  • The fee for student affiliates will increase from $57 to $58.

The following fees will not change:

  • Student transitional fee (going from a student affiliate to a member), year one: $100
  • Student transitional fee, year two: $200
  • Online Directory of Editors (ODE) for one year: $80

This letter provides you with three months’ written notice of the increase in accordance with the Membership Procedures.

We have a lot to look forward to next year!
