Toronto, April 6, 2016—The Editors’ Association of Canada (Editors Canada) and the American Copy Editors Society (ACES) are pleased to announce a new national partnership between the two organizations. This collaboration will elevate the status of both organizations by expanding training and development opportunities. Members of Editors Canada can participate in ACES webinars and online training courses, conferences, etc. at member rates, with the same courtesy extended to ACES members from Editors Canada.
“Partnering with Editors Canada gives ACES members an opportunity at international training,” said ACES president Teresa Schmedding. “ACES fits well with Editors Canada. Both our organizations are focused on providing quality training to our members.”

Editors Canada began in 1979 as the Freelance Editors’ Association of Canada to promote and maintain high standards of editing. The American Copy Editors Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) education and membership organization working toward the advancement of copy editors.
