National conference

The annual national conference, which is hosted in cycles by a different branch every year, provides training and networking opportunities for members and the public alike.

Congrès des langagiers et langagières

Every two years, Editors Canada organizes a one-day conference with content specifically geared toward French-speaking editors. The event, which is held entirely in French, is a unique opportunity for professional development and networking in a friendly atmosphere.

Mentorship

The John Eerkes-Medrano Mentorship Program offers editors across the country the opportunity to participate in one-on-one mentor-mentee relationships, and is available exclusively to Editors Canada members and student affiliates.

Local seminars and programs

The association’s regional branches and twigs offer seminars and programs covering a range of topics, including basic skills in proofreading, copy editing, substantive editing and other training. They also deal with special-interest and advanced topics such as web editing, technical editing, photo editing and business development.
