1. 2007 AGM: Now’s the time to read up

EAC’s 2007 annual general meeting is coming up on June 2 in Ottawa. Head to the AGM 2007 page to find a wealth of information about what’s on the agenda at this meeting.

Please note that hard copies will not be available at the AGM. Members are asked to print copies of the documentation for their records.

2. CONFERENCE ‘007: Last chance to register

The highlight of our year is always the annual conference. Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada’s National Capital Region, is the setting for Conference ‘007: Licence to Edit, which takes place June 1–3 at the Ottawa Congress Centre, overlooking the historic Rideau Canal and steps from Parliament Hill and the Byward Market. It’s sure to provide training and networking opportunities for members and the public alike, but it’s also great fun. Online registration closes on May 29, 2007, so don’t delay. Head to the conference website to register now.

3. REMINDER: Submit your entry for the Oops Awards

Share a lighthearted giggle with your fellow editors as we recognize the best of the bad in infelicities, ambiguities, mistakes and outright boo-boos published in print or online in 2006 and 2007.
